PhlebMastery

Free to start

A free phlebotomy course you can start right now

Module 1 of the PhlebMastery course is free in full — no sign-up, no card, no trial countdown. It is the same first module paying learners get: plain-language theory built on published WHO phlebotomy guidance, with worked reasoning and clear figures rather than a watered-down sample.

What you get for free

The free module covers the foundations every safe blood draw rests on — why patient identification comes first, the principles of infection prevention, and how the equipment fits together. You read it in your browser, at your own pace, with no account and nothing to install. If you only ever do the free module, you still leave knowing more than most introductory courses teach in their first week.

Is the certificate free?

No — and we would rather tell you that plainly than waste your time. A lot of pages advertising a “free phlebotomy course with certificate” bury a charge at the end or issue a certificate that means little. Here, the first module is genuinely free; the verifiable certificate comes with the full ten-module course, which is a single one-time payment of £10 with no subscription. You decide whether to continue only after you have seen the quality of the free module for yourself.

What the full course adds

The remaining nine modules carry the theory through vein selection, technique, order of draw, special collections, specimen handling and complications, each with a short quiz, extra practice questions, and a final assessment leading to the certificate. Everything stays self-paced and online, and the £10 is paid once — there is nothing recurring.

What this course is not

This is a theory course. It does not include hands-on venepuncture practice on real patients, and it is not a licence or registration to practise. It is designed to teach the underpinning knowledge thoroughly and honestly — the part you can learn well from anywhere in the world.
